My name is Rick Kast, owner and founder of Red Mill Home Inspections. I am a licensed home inspector here in NYS State. In addition to this though, I work hard to be the best in the industry. As such, I am also a member of InterNACHI, the world’s largest home inspector association. I am also Certified to inspect in Pennsylvania and I am a licensed Westchester County Contractor – my experience speaks for itself!. I take a great deal of pride in my work as a home inspector, and my qualifications, certifications, licenses, and work ethic shows how much I work for you as my client on each and every home inspection.
I also have a great deal of hands-on experience as well. As a Master Carpenter, I have been involved in home renovations, residential and commercial carpentry, and the home inspection industries for over 38 years with a degree in Applied Sciences from Westchester Community College. I bring a high level of experience, honesty and integrity to every home inspection. Not only do I see the issues in your potential new home, but I know what causes those issues and can explain it in an easy to understand manner.

A home inspection by a qualified home inspector such as myself is an important step in the buying/selling process. It is a third party unbiased opinion of the homes condition at the time of inspection. Although some homes have less issues than others, the purchaser gets a better understanding of the past, current and possible future issues with the home and property inspected.
Commercial Building Inspections
Let us inspect your commercial property to ensure its overall condition and safety. A commercial building inspection takes a trained eye and a great deal of experience. Remember that your liability can extend to employees, customers and occupants, so make sure that your building’s structure, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC are functioning properly.
Environmental Inspections and Testing
Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that comes from decomposing uranium in the earth and can cause lung cancer. Does your home have a radon problem? Have your home or building professionally tested by us. Mold is an organic substance that has been gaining more recognition in recent years due to growing health problems among many communities and even deaths. Be sure to have your home properly tested.
