My name is Rick Kast, owner, inspector, and founder of Red Mill Home Inspections. I am a Master Carpenter, an InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector, A NYS Licensed Home Inspector, and a Licensed Westchester County Contractor. I am also a member of ASHI (#261854), A CT Licenced Home Inspector (#0000836), and a NYS Home Inspector Instructor. I have spent the vast majority of my life building a great deal of hands-on experience and training that is irreplaceable during a home inspection. As a Master Carpenter, I have been involved in home renovations, residential and commercial carpentry, and home inspection industries for over 38 years with a degree in Applied Sciences from Westchester Community College. I bring a great deal of experience, training, and knowledge to each and every home inspection. I take pride in being able to see an issue, understand it, and then to be able to explain it in understandable terms. This is possible because very likely I have fixed that type of issue with my own two hands.

My InterNACHI Home Inspector Qualifications
As a member of InterNACHI (the world’s largest home inspector association) I have a great deal of training and I have many certificates to show that I am diligent in making sure that I am the most qualified home inspector possible. being part of InterNACHI is not a requirement, but something that I happily submit myself to.
As an InterNACHI Certified Professional Home Inspector, I take additional continuing education in addition to what NYS requires. I follow their strict code of ethics, and I use their high standards as set out in the InterNACHI SOP.
Below are just a few of the InterNACHI courses I have taken, completed, and implemented, and the list continues to grow.
